ABOUT ME

Having spent the majority of my adult life working with children with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties,  I wanted to explore the effect that 'therapeutic touch' (through massage,) has on associated conditions i.e. anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger and aggression, poor concentration and difficulty engaging in learning.

 

This led me to train as a complementary massage therapist five years ago, observing the consistent progress made by an adolescent male with severe anxiety and ASD with regular Indian Head Massage treatments.

The introduction of Indian Head Massage in a SEMH and ASD schools has been very well

received by the pupils and the positive outcomes recognised by teachers, parents/carers and professionals.

In addition to my dedicated work with children and in my private practice, I am a proud and enthusiastic volunteer for MacMillan Crossroads Care and HomeStart Thanet, and my hobbies include rollerblading, aerial hoop, cycling, paddle boarding and walking my naughty black labrador on the beach and most especially spending time with my family.
